It's Princess Party Time!

Once my three year old settled on a theme for her birthday party, the design for the cake was a no brainer! This Cinderella cake used an actual Cinderella doll that was covered in fondant. The entire skirt portion of the dress was edible yellow cake with a strawberry cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting. My little princess loved her little princess!

In honor of the Super Bowl

In honor of the Super Bowl this year, I made some interesting cupcakes... Buffalo Blue Cheese Cupcakes with Blue Cheese Frosting. The crazy thing, though, is that people actually ate them. Who knew!

My first guinea pig after taking a bite... check out that smile!

Alli's 13th Birthday Party

I had the pleasure of working with Alli and 7 of her closest friends tonight. I was really impressed with the girls' work. They did a fantastic job! See some of the photos from her party below.

A Gruesome Teen Night

This past Friday, I had the pleasure of doing a workshop for the Long Valley Teen Night, hosted by the Long Valley Arts Assoc. Approximately 13 6th, 7th, and 8th graders came out to decorate cupcakes. I think I gave them a bit of a shock with my choice of design, but everyone had a great time. In honor of Halloween we made a bloody brains cupcake and a severed finger cupcake. The kids did a great job and I look forward to working with the teen night again soon. Below is some of their "artwork."

This student decided to add the bloody nerve still attached to the finger.

Mom's Night Out

Last night I had the pleasure of running a mom's night out party for a great group of ladies. We worked on two types of cupcakes-- a toadstool cupcake and a train cupcake. It was great to see all of the creativity coming out of these women by the end of the night! Included in the post are cupcakes made by the participants.

Phanatic Grooms Cake!

This grooms cake was made for my friend, and former roommate, Sarah to give to her fiancĂ©, Dan, at their rehearsal dinner. The waving pennant sports their wedding date, and the back of the jersey has the couple's new last name. The cake was so much fun to make! I wish Sarah and Dan an eternity of happiness! Congratulations!
