Princess Tea Party Cake

For her very special 5th Birthday party, with all of her friends, my niece decided that she wanted a "Princess Tiana Tea Party." I surprised her with this teapot cake, which include some of Princess Tiana's favorite colors and lots of edible glitter! The cake itself is a strawberry cake, made with fresh cut strawberries, and a light cream cheese filling. The candles are set into purple gumpaste rosebuds.

Garden Themed Cake

This chocolate cake with chocolate-hazelnut filling was an homage to my brother's home garden. It includes carrots, heads of lettuce, some eggplants, and two steaks of tomatoes. It also sports the white picket fence that surrounds his garden, the gnome I gave him for his birthday last year, and naturally a big bottle of DeerStopper®.
